About the Workshop:

Come celebrate Tu Bishvat through a botanical sketching workshop taught by a special guest, Heather Walker. We'll be learning how to journal the nature around us through quick sketches and longer studies.

About the Artist:

Heather Walker has an certificate in Botanic Illustration from Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh and is a student in the School of Botanic Art and Illustration. After a wildfire destroyed her town in 2018, Heather returned to art education as a way to process the experience. Her focus is on native plants that are drought tolerant and fire resistant. She hopes that her art will help educate others on the importance of xeriscaping with native plants and the impact of wildfire on our environment.
